Der BASF-Konzern veröffentlicht am Mittwoch seinen Finanzbericht für das erste Halbjahr 2025. Eine schwache Konjunktur sowie hohe Energiepreise und Handelskonflikte belasten die Chemiebranche. Das hinterlässt auch Spuren beim Unternehmen mit Stammsitz in Ludwigshafen. Wegen der andauernden makroökonomischen und geopolitischen Unsicherheiten hatte BASF vor Kurzem seine Prognose gekappt. Für 2025 strebt der weltgrößte Chemiekonzern nun beim bereinigten Ergebnis vor Zinsen, Steuern und Abschreibungen (Ebitda) 7,3 Milliarden bis 7,7 Milliarden Euro an. Zuvor hatte das Dax-Unternehmen 8,0 bis 8,4 Milliarden Euro angepeilt - nach knapp 7,9 Milliarden im Vorjahr. Bei BASF laufen Sparprogramme - vor allem der Stammsitz soll wettbewerbsfähiger werden.
