Vergnet announced today that it had received the governor of the state of Katsina, Nigeria, at its Ormes (45) site, accompanied by a full technical delegation. As a reminder, Vergnet is involved in the Katsina wind power project, completed a few years ago in northern Nigeria, with 37 GEV MP-C wind turbines of 275 kW each, for a total installed capacity of 10.1 MW. However, security events on site had prevented the Vergnet group from fully commissioning and maintaining the plant. Following this visit, the parties agreed that Vergnet SA would initiate, from the first half of 2025, an initial audit mission, which could take place over several months, in order to assess the future maintenance interventions required at this power plant.
