President Donald Trump announced on Friday that major U.S. defense manufacturers have agreed to quadruple production of advanced weaponry following a meeting at the White House. Trump wrote on Truth Social that the meeting with the country’s largest defense manufacturing companies focused on production and production schedules. The companies agreed to rapidly increase output of what Trump called "Exquisite Class" weaponry to reach the highest levels of quantity. According to Trump, expansion of production facilities began three months before the meeting, with plants and production of many weapons already underway. The president stated that the U.S. has a virtually unlimited supply of medium and upper medium grade munitions, which are being used in Iran and were recently used in Venezuela. He added that orders at these levels have also been increased. The meeting included chief executives from BAE Systems, Boeing (NYSE:BA), Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Missile Solutions, Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT), Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC), and Raytheon. Trump said another meeting has been scheduled in two months. He noted that states across the country are bidding to host the new production plants.
