AlipayHK Dabbles in Thai Mkt, Connecting with Large Merchants in First Phase
AlipayHK announced its foray into Thailand through the Alipay+ global cross-border digital payment and marketing solution launched by Ant Group.
Users can now leverage AlipayHK to pay and enjoy discounts when they see "Alipay+" label in Thailand. In the first stage, the function will be connected to large merchants such as Thai Airways.
Venetia Lee, General Manager of Ant Group Greater China International Business, highlighted that AlipayHK had earlier been accepted in 5 tourist destinations, namely Mainland China, Macau, Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
With the gradual recovery of outbound travel, Ant has also stepped up its pace and taken the lead in connecting more tourist destinations in Southeast Asia within the year to facilitate travel for Hong Kong people, Lee added.

Deutschland ist ja historisch an die USA gefesselt.
Man muss hoffen, dass sich durch Frankreichseinfluss die EU mehr emanzipiert und seine eigenen Interessen in den Vordergrund stellt.
Ein wenig mehr Eigenständigkeit und Neutralität wäre mir wirklich lieb.

Heute morgen kam die Nachricht im TV, dass drei chinesische Astronauten oder Kosmonauten zur chinesischen Raumstation geflogen sind.
Und jetzt kommt es, auf Druck der USA, durfte sich China damals nicht an ISS beteiligen oder Astronauten dorthin schicken.
So viel zu "internationaler" Raumstation.

Mit Massenentlassungen kann man sich aber auch neuen Ärger mit der KP einhandeln.
Für uns als Aktionäre mit 20% weniger Personal und mehr KI Anwendungen wäre es natürlich besser.

Es wird mit zweierlei Maß gemessen. Bei US-Werten heißt es Kostenoptimierung. Bei China heißt es das Geschäftsmodell stimmt nicht und sie müssen Kosten sparen 🤣

Ant Group unveiled for the first time a complete roadmap for open-source software surrounding its key foundational software at the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum Exhibition (Science and Technology Fair), Chinese media reported.
All nine core technologies of the company will become open-source, and open-source solutions to rare character recognition will be developed, in hope to make digital services more inclusive and egalitarian.
