Nvidia down 5% as US allegedly plans to limit chip sale
Nvidia Corporation's shares declined 5.12% on Tuesday after reaching a record-high at close the previous day, following a report that United States government officials were considering limiting the sale of the company's more advanced chips to other countries.
On Monday, unnamed US government sources said Washington was in the early stages of discussing new measures that would limit the number of available chip export licenses for certain countries. The US Department of Commerce and Nvidia did not provide a comment.
Nvidia's shares sold for $131.65 at 10:46 am ET.
