16 March 2021 07:05 GMT AstraZeneca has completed the divestment of its 26.7% ownership in Viela Bio, Inc. (Viela), as part of the proposed acquisition of Viela by Horizon Therapeutics plc. This follows the agreement to divest the shareholding on 1 February 2021. Financial considerations AstraZeneca has received cash proceeds and profit of c.$775m. This will be accounted for in other operating income in the Company’s financial statements. The divestment does not impact the Company’s financial guidance for 2021.

16 March 2021 07:00 GMT Agreement builds on an earlier announcement that included support for the clinical development and supply of the treatment AstraZeneca has modified an existing agreement with the US Government to supply up to 500,000 additional doses of AZD7442, a long-acting antibody (LAAB) combination which is in late-stage development for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Today’s agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Defense (DoD) builds on an agreement from October 2020 for the support of the late-stage development of AZD7442 and for the supply of an initial 100,000 doses of the LAAB combination. It included the option to acquire additional doses in 2021. The Company also has a separate agreement to supply the DoD with 100,000 doses, bringing potential US supplies of AZD7442 to 700,000 in 2021. Pascal Soriot, Chief Executive Officer, said: “The long-acting antibody combination has the potential to offer almost immediate protection to those who are not able to be vaccinated, to both prevent infection or treat the disease in patients already infected with the virus. The US Government’s support is critical in helping accelerate the development of AZD7442, which we believe will be an important tool in the fight against COVID-19.” AZD7442 is currently being evaluated for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in late-stage trials in more than 9,000 participants around the world. The two-LAAB combination has been engineered with AstraZeneca’s proprietary half-life extension technology which triples the durability of its action compared to conventional antibodies. The combination of LAABs is also designed to reduce the risk of resistance developed by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its variants.

Stiko und Paul Ehrlich Institut haben die Sache unter Beobachtung und Überprüfen die Nebenwirkungen bezüglich der beobachteten Hirn Venen Thrombosen. 7 von 1,6 Mio der Geimpften zeigen diese Problematik. Dieser Sicherheitsstop ist gängige Praxis. Hoffentlich klärt sich das auf, und die Betroffenen werden wieder gesund. Gibt es einen Zusammenhang mit dem Astra Wirkstoff mit Vorerkrankungen oder Prädispositionen???

Fakt ist das es anscheinend Nebenwirkungen geben kann die jetzt untersucht werden. Nicht ohne Grund stoppen immer mehr Länder die Impfung! Sich dann hier aber hinzustellen und zu sagen es sind alles Idioten, bei den Skepsis auf kommt. Zeigt wie Naiv einige sind! Reden sich woll ihr bekommene Impfung schön!
