Tata beherrscht den E-Auto-Markt in Indien und hält dort einen Marktanteil von gut 90 Prozent. Insgesamt liegt die E-Quote bei gut drei Millionen Neufahrzeugen pro Jahr bei einem Prozent Anteil unter den Neuzulassungen. Indien will bis 2030 einen E-Anteil von 30 Prozent erreichen. Tata Motors, die Muttergesellschaft von Jaguar Land Rover, hat zuletzt mit dem Curvv Concept und dem Avinya zwei neue Konzepte vorgestellt, die Ausblicke auf die E-Auto-Ambitionen des Unternehmens geben. Das Anfang April vorgestellte Curvv Concept, ein Crossover, basiert noch auf einer Verbrenner-Plattform und soll zunächst als Elektroauto, später auch als Verbrenner und als Hybrid angeboten werden.
