The federal government has given Canada Nickel Co. Inc. CNC-X the go-ahead to build a new nickel mine in northern Ontario as part of its efforts to build major resource projects, two sources told The Globe and Mail. Crawford is on both Ottawa’s major projects list, and Ontario’s “One Project, One Process” regulatory initiative. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Major Projects Office was launched last year with the objective of identifying certain natural resource projects for regulatory fast-tracking, as well as helping to facilitate hundreds of millions of dollars in funding. The approval of the mine will be formally announced by Ottawa on Friday, the sources said. The Globe is not identifying the sources because they were not authorized to speak publicly. While the approval of the mine is a major milestone for the company, there are still significant hurdles to be navigated by Canada Nickel, including finalizing a multibillion dollar financing package, and announcing a decision to forge ahead on construction. Mr. Vaillancourt in his report said the recovery in the nickel price is being driven by expectations that Indonesia will reduce its production by limiting the number of permits it issues.

0,94 mein EK 32500 Stückchen...... ist nicht so, dass es ein Krösus nicht merken würde, wenn es weg ist. Ich habe ja als Ziel, dass das 325.000 Euronen werden...... und das soll nicht die Inflation mit Geldentwertung bringen!

Ich bin mit 20k Stück zu je 1,21 drinnen. Würde echt schmerzen...

Am 8.2.2021 hab ich hier meine ersten 2500 Stück um 1,61 Euro gekauft...... schaut aus, als würde der Leidensweg bald ein Ende nehmen...... mittlerweile mit 30.000 Stück. Also, wäre eine kleine Katastrophe, würde die Ministerin mir da einen Abschreibposten verschaffen.

Er kommt zu dem Schluss, dass der Tagebau zwar moderate signifikante Umweltschäden (u. a. für Fische und Vögel) und Einschränkungen traditioneller indigener Landnutzungen verursacht, gleichzeitig aber die Produktion kritischer Mineralien und die regionale Wirtschaft stärkt. Für Canada Nickel ist dieser Bericht ein entscheidender Zwischenschritt, aber noch keine endgültige Baugenehmigung. Die zuständigen Minister müssen nun abwägen, ob die wirtschaftlichen und strategischen Vorteile die verbleibenden Umweltauswirkungen rechtfertigen.
