Enbridge (NYSE:ENB) +0.5% pre-market after reporting stronger than expected Q1 earnings and a slight Y/Y rise in revenues to $12.2B, amid a steady recovery in oil prices and demand. Enbridge swung to a Q1 profit of C$1.9B (US$1.56B), or C$0.94/share, from a year-earlier loss of C$1.4B, or C$0.71/share. A year ago, the company took a C$1.7B charge related to the value of its investment in DCP Midstream and a C$2B charge related to derivatives. Q1 adjusted EBITDA of C$3.7B, compared with C$3.8B in 2020; cash provided by operating activities was C$2.6B, compared with C$2.8B in 2020. Q1 distributable cash flow totaled C$2.8B, an increase of C$55M over the prior-year quarter. Enbridge said it transported 2.75M bbl/day on its Mainline system during the quarter, up from 2.65M bbl/day in Q4 2020. The company's liquids pipeline business posted adjusted earnings of C$1.88B, up from C$1.79B in Q4. Enbridge affirmed its full-year guidance for distributable cash flow of C$4.70-C$5.00/share and EBITDA of C$13.9B-C$14.3B.
