Die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter von 15000 waren doch schon Anfang dieses Jahres bekannt oder? Deswegen sind diese News für mich eher als negativ zu interpretieren.

2021 waren es 22.000 Mitarbeiter. Letztes Jahr noch 19.000. Ich finde die Nachricht gut. Auch mal ein Lebenszeichen vom Management. Gab hier welche, die haben sich beschwert, man hört nichts vom Management. Was machen die eigentlich. So wie ich die Zusammenfassung der letzten 12 Monate lese. sehr viel. Besonders freut es mich, dass der Börsengang XBP weiterhin geplant ist, Exela der größte Anteilseigner ist und kurz bevor steht. 🤗

Fellow Shareholders, I am humbled to serve as your Executive Chairman and to serve our more than 15,000 strong employees in 21 countries in partnering with over 4,000 customers on their digital transformation journey. We have been productive since the last annual meeting, in 2022. Most recently, in July, we undertook a significant step in our long-term debt reduction strategy. In June, we divested our hardware business. And in October of last year, we signed the merger agreement to take our European business public, which we hope to complete imminently. In this age of increasing interest rates, we are doing our best to reduce our debt obligations so that we can reinvest in the growth of the business. Recently in July, we completed an exchange whereby approximately $1,271 million of long-term debt was exchanged for $1,017 million of new long-term debt, of which $768 million is held by third parties. In our debt reduction journey, we have brought our debt from a peak of more than $1.6 billion in June 2021, down to approximately $800 million today, effectively reducing it by half. We have a path to further reduce the long-term debt through the divestment of a business. In line with our mission to improve focus and redeploy capital to support growth initiatives, in June, we completed the divestment of the high-speed scanner manufacturing and maintenance business. This divestment is another example of our ability to divest non-core assets during turbulent market conditions at attractive valuations. In October, 2022, we announced the merger agreement of our European business with CF Acquisition Corp. VIII, to be renamed XBP Europe upon completion. Exela will be the largest shareholder of the business that streamlines bills and payments processes across Europe and is expected to be listed on Nasdaq. We made progress in stabilizing and improving our performance metrics and we remain focused on further improving our financial performance. We are well positioned with a supply chain across 6 continents, to serve our customers including some of the most valuable companies in the world. No letter to shareholders would be complete without an expression of gratitude to our shareholders and our fellow employees, worldwide. Our team continues to deliver to our customers despite the challenging global geopolitical and macroeconomic environment. These challenges continue to impact us in various ways, especially on the rising costs front, which remain a threat to our improving margins. As we continue to execute our strategy towards a stronger Exela, we take some comfort in our ability to weather the challenges thus far.
