Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. meldete heute die Finanzzahlen für das vierte Quartal und das Gesamtjahr 2018. Den Angaben zufolge beliefen sich die Einnahmen im vierten Quartal 2018 auf 59,6 Mio. USD, ein Rückgang gegenüber 75,4 Mio. USD im Vorjahreszeitraum.  Im vierten Quartal 2018 produzierte das Unternehmen 1,94 Mio. Unzen Silber und 12.070 Unzen Gold. Die All-In Sustaining Costs (AISC) je Unze Silberäquivalent beliefen sich laut Daten auf 12,2 USD. Es ergab sich ein Nettogewinn von 2,2 Mio. USD im Dezemberquartal, ein starker Rückgang verglichen mit 34,1 Mio. USD im Vorjahreszeitraum. Im Gesamtjahr 2018 belief sich die Gold- und Silberproduktion des Unternehmens auf 54.210 Unzen bzw. 8,89 Mio. Unzen. Die AISC je Unze Silberäquivalent gab das Unternehmen mit 10,6 USD an. Die Einnahmen betrugen 263,3 Mio. USD gegenüber 268,1 Mio. USD im Jahr 2017.  Der Nettogewinn im Gesamtjahr 2018 sank ebenfalls gegenüber dem Vorjahr von 66,3 Mio. USD 2017 auf 34 Mio. USD im Jahr 2018. Der angepasste Nettogewinn lag 2018 bei 38,4 Mio. USD gegenüber 48,7 Mio. USD im Vorjahr. Die Barmittel des Unternehmens einschließlich kurzfristiger Investments beliefen sich per 31. Dezember auf 163,3 Mio. USD.

"Aufgrund schwerer Unwetter und daraus entstandener Schäden habe Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. eine Verschiebung des kommerziellen Produktionsbeginns beim Lindero Goldprojekt in Argentinien bekannt gegeben. Start solle anstatt in Q3/19 nun Q1/20 sein. Außerdem sei eine Erhöhung des Investitionsvolumens vorgenommen worden. Die Analysten von Canaccord Genuity sorgen sich um eine mögliche weitere Verschiebung der Zeitpläne und gehen nicht vor einem Produktionsbeginn vor Q2/20 aus. Analyst Dalton Baretto kürzt die EBITDA-Prognose für 2020 um 26% und die Cash flow-Schätzung um 36%. Ein signifikanter Druck auf die Bilanz von Fortuna Silver Mines sei zwar nicht zu befürchten. Aber die Identifizierung alternativer Finanzierungsquellen wäre ein richtiger Schritt.  In ihrer Fortuna Silver Mines-Aktienanalyse stufen die Analysten von Canaccord Genuity den Titel von "buy" auf "hold" zurück und senken das Kursziel von 8,25 auf 5,50 CAD"

(NYSE: FSM) (TSX: FVI) is pleased to provide an update on construction activities at its 100 percent owned Lindero gold Project located in the Province of Salta, Argentina.    Following the cessation of unusually heavy rainfall in Salta Province in recent weeks, which resulted in damage to the road leading to the Lindero Project site (see Fortuna news release dated February 7, 2019), management is pleased to report that the road has been repaired and on February 18th the mobilization of personnel and materials to the project site resumed. Mr. Jorge A. Ganoza, President, CEO and Director, commented, “Abnormal rains and electrical thunder storms not seen in a decade in the region are impacting our construction activities and schedule projections.  A large amount of the float in the construction schedule has been consumed due to a slow start and ramp-up in excavations at the leach pad and crushing plant, key activities in the critical path of the project.” Mr. Ganoza continued, “As a result, we have had to revise our original construction schedule. Our plan now is to initiate ore stacking early in the fourth quarter of 2019, with first dore poured at year end and commercial production targeted for the first quarter of ­2020.” Mr. Ganoza concluded, “The Company remains well funded with low debt and sufficient liquidity to meet its construction and working capital requirements for the completion of construction activities and operating ramp-up activities at Lindero.”"
