Kennedy Jr., called GLP-1 medications used for weight loss "miracle drugs." Kennedy Jr. made the comments Thursday during a confirmation hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee. Novo and Lilly make the two most popular GLP-1 weight loss treatments, Wegovy (semaglutide) and Zepbound (tirzepatide). The comments are notable as the nominee has previously made comments critical of using drugs to tackle obesity, preferring diet and lifestyle changes instead. In December, Kennedy Jr. appeared to be softening his stance when during a brief interview with CNBC on the floor of the NYSE he said that "the first line of response should be lifestyle, it should be eating well, making sure that you don't get obese, and that those GLP drugs have a place."

Ich hatte HIMS Anfang Dezember angeschrieben und ihnen ein Konzept vorgestellt, wie sie government money für die GLPs bekommen können und „Make America Healthy Again“ unterstützen können. vielleicht haben sie aufgrund dessen 1 Mio USD für Inaugurationen von Donald Trump im Januar gespendet.
