The Munich-based company plans to invest $150 million in a new manufacturing plant in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, to produce electrical equipment for U.S. data centres and infrastructure. It will invest $140 million in two electrical-products manufacturing plants in Grande Prairie, Texas, and Pomona, California, the company said. "The new Fort Worth facility and the Grand Prairie and Pomona extensions will meet booming demand for the electrification of critical infrastructure – in other words, data centres, battery plants, semiconductor facilities and EV charging," Siemens said in a press release. In July it announced plans for a $220 million rail manufacturing plant in Lexington, North Carolina. That project and its latest plans will create around 1,700 jobs, the company said. Analyst Francois-Xavier Bouvignies passte in einer am Freitag vorliegenden Studie seine Schätzungen für den Chiphersteller an. Er habe vor dem Hintergrund der seit drei Wochen laufenden Berichtssaison nun seine Prognose für das Ergebnis je Aktie für das Geschäftsjahr 2023/24 gesenkt, schrieb er. Unsere Zahlen stehen bald an und viele sind nervös auf Grund der Ergebnisse von z.B. ON. Auch wenn mancher amerikanische und deutsche Autobauer schwächelt, ist China ein Riesen Markt für Infineon. Die amerikanischen Firmen wie z.B. ON haben es mittlerweile ein bisschen schwieriger was folgende Aussage zeigt: „Onsemi has also been hurt by growing tensions between the U.S. and China, as the Biden Administration cracked down on exports of semiconductors to that country. Data from 2022 showed the company received almost a third of its revenue from China.“ weniger Umsatz bei ON, mehr Umsatz bei uns? Ich bin gespannt!

Die Lagerbestände von Halbleitern gingen zurück, seien aber immer noch deutlich höher als in der Vergangenheit um diese Zeit, schrieb Analyst Sandeep Deshpande in einer am Freitag vorliegenden Branchenstudie. Da ein baldiger Aufwärtszyklus nicht in Sicht sei, sollten Anleger in Unternehmen investieren, die wie ASML bereits die Ziele für 2024 angepasst hätten oder wie ASM International von einem starken strukturellen Rückenwind profitierten.
