Fully utilized, the contract value is EUR 2.7 million including options over the next 12 months with immediate start-up 3 January 2022. The award represents one of the largest drone logistics contracts awarded in the European market and is the largest and most ambitious drone logistics award in the offshore energy industry. The award follows on from the August 2020 flight conducted for Equinor, when Nordic Unmanned made drone history by performing cargo delivery from shore to the Troll A platform, as well as a comprehensive study performed during 2021, as announced to the market on January 21st, 2021. Following a successful initial onshore preparation and flight period in the first and second quarters, it is expected that the offshore demonstration period will be initiated in the third quarter of 2022 with anticipated completion in the fourth quarter. The offshore scope involves cargo flights between a supply base and the Gullfaks field, located 170 km offshore, as well as establishing daily flights within 30 km between offshore installations and vessels in the Tampen area. The project includes usage of autonomous take-off and landing systems and integration into the Avinor-provided unmanned traffic management (UTM) system. In addition to conducting daily multipoint cargo deliveries, Nordic Unmanned will demonstrate search and rescue capabilities, inspection services and deployment of subsea unmanned intervention device (UID). Flights will be conducted with Nordic Unmanned’s newest Schiebel CAMCOPTER S-100 and Nordic Unmanned’s proprietary Staaker BG-class drones with dual delivery winch systems. "We have a long-standing relationship with Equinor, and we're very excited to announce the largest drone logistics contract in Europe. We are confident that this will change how the global offshore energy industry will integrate industrial air mobility going forward. Use of drones will increase efficiency and contribute to reduced CO2 emissions, and Nordic Unmanned is preparing for drone logistics to be in regular use in this industry from 2023," said Knut Roar Wiig, CEO of Nordic Unmanned. The contract is fully aligned with Nordic Unmanned’s new strategy for the logistics market vertical, focusing on time-critical high-value goods for “business to business” and “business to government" clients. The services under this contract will be delivered by Nordic Unmanned Cargo in close collaboration with subcontractors, Schiebel Aircraft, Airbus, and Planck Aerosystems. "We expect logistics to be a major growth driver for the drone market in the years to come, and this contract lets us showcase our capabilities. Proving our ability to operate our drones safely in the challenging conditions of the North Sea, the scope of this contract will be a verification of Nordic Unmanned having the capacity to deliver such services anywhere. Harsh weather conditions and very busy airspace require first class operational and regulatory expertise,” said VP Logistics Pål Kristensen. Wollte auch einmal was Positives teilen: habe heute dem CEO geschrieben und war ganz verblüfft, dass ich bereits innerhalb eines halben Tages eine Antwort hatte. Grundsätzlich habe ich das Unternehmen gelobt, aber die PR kritisiert. Als Antwort bekam ich keine vorgefertigten Textbausteine sondern die Info, dass NU eine deutliche Verbesserung der Kommunikation anstrebt. Laut Aussage von Knut Wiig wird "in den nächsten Tagen" eine neue Webseite gelauncht, anschließend werden auch die Social Media Kanäle forciert und im Q1 2022 wird die PR-Abteilung personell gestärkt. Meine persönliche Interpretation: sie sind sich durchaus bewusst, dass die PR ausbaufähig ist. Alles in allem würde es mich sehr freuen, wenn sich das nicht nur gut anhört, sondern auch so umgesetzt wird, dann können wir hoffentlich auf ein deutlich besseres 2022 blicken.

Mit 45NOK würde ich mich auch wohler fühlen 😉 Es kann ja immer in zwei Richtungen laufen, man steckt da leider nicht drin und für uns ists im Moment schade. Denke aber i.d.T., dass irgendwie überall der Wurm drin ist, auch im Hinblick auf einen Endjahresspurt. Also, wait and see... zumindest für mich.

Wenn einmal meine persönliche Einschätzung so stark wie hier vom aktuellen Kurs abweicht, dann hinterfrage ich meine Entscheidung natürlich auch sehr deutlich. Klüger bin ich in der Hinsicht geworden, als das ich nun wüsste, dass es bei Nordic Unmanned viel mehr Sinn ergeben hätte, wenn ich z. B. bis heute mit dem Einstieg gewartet hätte. Dennoch bin ich immer noch überzeugt, dass es kurstechnisch auch ganz anders hätte kommen können und dann hätte das Warten gar nichts gebracht. Ein Kurs so um die 45 NOK wäre für dieses Unternehmen nicht zu viel. Ja, ja, ist ca. 50 % über dem derzeitigen Kurs, genau da könnte ich wieder mit dem ersten Satz beginnen.

Ich bin hier auch investiert und glaube nach wie vor auch, dass NU seinen Weg gehen wird. Im Momemt sieht allerdings alles am Markt recht durcheinander und ziemlich nervös aus. Wahrscheinlich hätte unter "normalen" Umständen der Kurs sich weiter positiv entwickelt. Sicherlich nicht nur hier bei NU sondern auch bei anderen Unternehmen. Wissen tun wir es leider nicht und sehen gerade etwas anderes. Verkaufen kommt für mich allerdings nicht in Frage, noch nicht 😉

Danke für eure Statements. Es bringt zwar dem Kurs nichts, tut aber mental gut zu lesen, dass es noch mehr Leute mit Fragezeichen im Kopf gibt.

Der Kurs ist auch an guten Börsentagen schwach, das lädt nicht gerade ein. Bleibt nur, dass sich langfristig die fundamentale Entwicklung positiv auswirkt.

@23april ja so langsam Zweifel ich hier auch dran... nicjt etwa weil die Entwicklung nicht passt, gut der Verlust in Q3 war blöd, sondern weil der Kurs eher fällt anstatt zu steigen. Vielleicht braucht es hier ja auch einfach mehr. NU hat in der Vergangenheit ja auch gezeigt, dass sie rentabel sein können. Bin sehr unentschlossen...
