$ABBV timing on $APGE while not totally surprising , is little inconsistent with their repeated obesity interest .. they definitely can still do a large obesity deal.. But I know they were competing with $NVO on an “ advanced stage molecule “ There are only $VKTX and $KLRA … Kailera CEO the same guy who screwed them with cerevel and all data from China. I doubt Abbv willing to gamble > $10 B prior to seeing American data a year from now $GPCR CEO willing to sell with reasonable premium but I don’t see the molecule checking all ABBv criteria ? Particularly tolerability. Although CMO started talking about oral. Recall ABBv more inclined towards long term injections vs oral I don’t believe the story is over ?

Very unusual .. $VKTX CEO asserted at q1 earnings that amylin trial was imminent to start post FDA clearance .. which was long ago ? Why the hell $NVO and $VKTX up big for no clear reasons. Both are called undervalued by their enthusiasts. But timing is little strange. Novo has more experience in SNAC though its previous acquisition and they were able to cut SNAC dose and tab size over the years.? Is there some level of collaboration ? Let us wait and see .. Why $ABBV moved at this time on $APGE despite shouting about obesity BD for months now ? Little speculation for thought
