As $NVO attempts to expand its pipeline and diversify its portfolio, Doustdar said he was open to “big” mergers and acquisitions.
“Probably today we are in more data rooms than ever before looking into anything and everything that is out there.” But he stressed that the company prioritised assets that fill gaps in its portfolio over size.”

When you reach the level of being in their data room, then you are doing hardcore DD, preparing to make an offer for those that live up to their desired criteria.
I think they will announce M&A before their upcoming CMD in September.
With ziltivekimab failure last Friday, they will also be even more active to fill the pipeline with assets outside obesity/T2D
“I do think that we need to diversify, no doubt about it, but I think we need to have disciplined diversifications around science areas and customer populations that we are synonymous with,” he said.
NVO can do $50B if they see the right fits. But they still need to be disciplined and not overpay.
I would like to see them get even bigger foothold in Chinese R&D. To get more acces to the lightning speed of development in China.

The report says Novo's top management visited China in June and met with a potential partner as it evaluates ways to secure enough semaglutide for future demand, particularly if Oral Wegovy is adopted by millions of patients. Supply chain experts told Finans that using a local manufacturing partner would give Novo greater flexibility to scale production up or down as demand evolves. Novo declined to comment.

$NVO has officially opened a new manufacturing facility in Bohumil, Czech Republic, following an investment of more than CZK 8 billion (approximately $370 million).
The site will produce proteins and other key components for Novo Nordisk's next generation diabetes and obesity medicines. It currently employs around 300 people, will initially support clinical production, and is expected to gradually expand into commercial manufacturing.

Am Freitag brach der Kurs um 8,48 Prozent ein. Die Aktie notiert nun bei 40,90 Euro und damit rund 25 Prozent unter ihrem Jahreshoch von 54,86 Euro aus dem Januar. Zum 50-Tage-Durchschnitt beträgt der Abstand praktisch null — ein Zeichen für die aktuelle Orientierungslosigkeit im Kurs.
Optionshändler preisen Achtprozent-Sprung ein
Laut Berechnungen der Investmentbank Saxo Bank preist der Optionsmarkt für die US-Notierung eine erwartete Bewegung von rund acht Prozent ein. Das entspricht einer möglichen Handelsspanne zwischen etwa 44,90 und 52,60 US-Dollar rund um den Bilanztermin. Diese Schätzung bezieht allerdings nicht nur den eigentlichen Handelstag ein, sondern auch einige Tage Kursdrift danach.
Die historischen Reaktionen fielen bislang kleiner aus. Nach den letzten beiden Quartalsberichten verlor die Aktie am Folgetag 6,7 beziehungsweise 5,4 Prozent, wie Saxo unter Berufung auf Bloomberg-Daten mitteilt. Der Optionsmarkt rechnet also mit einer stärkeren Reaktion als üblich.
