➡Even more significant is that they also announced plans to invest $615M USD for a new Swiss based greenfield plant with commercial production starting in 2030. This plant is targeted for high volume mfg.
➡Clearly new greenfield peptide production (probably for the oral peptides?) is needed and large investment is being made in cGMP facilities in Europe.
➡ IMO it is likely that this new production will employ mostly tag based peptide manufacturing which dramatically reduces costs vs SPPS
➡$BANB.SW was up 10% on this news

Agios Pharmaceuticals ($AGIO ) has discontinued development of tebapivat for sickle cell disease after a mid stage trial failed to show enough benefit to justify further development.
Following the news, analysts noted that the decision strengthens Novo's position in sickle cell disease. RBC Capital Markets said the setback makes Novo Nordisk's etavopivat more likely to remain best in class.

According to the reports, Novo says Lilly's Zepbound advertising campaign has generated more than 700 million impressions across television and social media since late April. Novo is seeking not only to have the advertisements withdrawn and replaced with corrective advertising, but also financial damages, including profits Lilly allegedly earned from the campaign.
The lawsuit is also broader than just Zepbound versus Wegovy. It challenges Lilly's advertising comparing Mounjaro with Ozempic, and Novo argues that many consumers rely on television and social media advertising when forming their understanding of GLP-1 medicines

$LLY has responded to $NVO 's lawsuit, saying it stands firmly behind its advertising and will defend the case vigorously.
Lilly says its advertisements are based on SURMOUNT 5, which it describes as the "gold standard" for comparing medicines and the only head to head trial comparing Zepbound and Wegovy. The study compared Zepbound at 10 mg or 15 mg with Wegovy at 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg and was completed before the FDA approved Wegovy 7.2 mg in March 2026.
Lilly said the trial was robustly designed, well conducted, and provides the most direct scientific evidence available. The company added that "rather than compete on the merits of its products, Novo is asking a court to stop Lilly from communicating the results of that trial."

Seit zwei Tagen bin ich im Forum unterwegs, um etwas Sinnvolles zu lesen. Es gab nichts, nur Gejammer über die -1–3 %. Endlich kommt Mclovin mit interessanten News. Vielleicht solltet ihr euch ein Beispiel daran nehmen und Researche Betreiben, anstatt nur zu jammern und zu heulen.
