Zu der Zeit gab es keine Klimaziele die man jetzt strickt verfolgt auf Europäischer Ebene und dem Rest der Welt Teilweise. Wie man klar aus der Stellungnahme raus liest, die waren einfach unfähig das Projekt voran zu treiben und danach sind se bei Velocys rein. Hier sind wie geschrieben genau die fehlenden Dinge in Aussicht: staatliche Unterstützung (10 Punkte plan von GP, 13,4Milliarden), ein funktionierendes Endprodukt, eine Anlage die gerade in der Finanzierungsphase steckt. Unabhängig vom bericht---- Mein Gefühl sagt das der Austritt nicht so wild sein kann. Wir kommen von 5cent seit Ende November. Der Kurs ist auf die Hauptunterstützungslinie eingebrochen jetzt. Die sind daran interessiert das der Sprit verbreitet wird, das die Ölsparte nicht zuviel Marktanteile verliert an Strom und Wasserstofftechnik. Je mehr Fabriken dieser Art entstehen, desto günstiger wird der Preis und desto eher wird efuel auch genutzt. Ein bsp ist Porsche, der ein oder andere hat da meine Berichte gelesen. Porsche ist auch in so einer Joint Venture mit Siemens Energy, Eni, und ner chilenischen Firma. Denkt ihr Porsche ist daran interessiert Sprit in Zukunft herzustellen? Nein! Die brauchen die Technologie weil 70% aller je gebauten Autos noch in Betrieb sind. Zulassung des KFBA sind 48million Verbrenner in Deutschland zu 800.000 elektro Fahrzeuge wovon hybride mit rein spielen. Ineffizient und man will in Zukunft den Verbrenner weiter haben also braucht man ne saubere Lösung... Alles weitere spar ich mir fürs erste im Detail. Vom Verständnis aber sollte es klar sein. Ich seh es bei Shell nicht anders

BA spricht derzeit mit anderen Unternehmen über die Entwicklung von Biokraftstoffprojekten aus Abfällen. Die Regierung muss innovative Biokraftstoffprojekte für die Luftfahrt wie dieses unterstützen, wenn sie vorankommen sollen. Wir haben Solena Fuels mehrere Jahre lang voll unterstützt und uns voll dafür eingesetzt

Mehrere Faktoren trugen dazu bei, dass das Projekt nicht vorankam, darunter die fallenden Ölpreise, die fehlende politische Unterstützung für solche Projekte in Großbritannien und die Unfähigkeit von Solena Fuels, das Projekt zur Zufriedenheit der Investoren voranzutreiben."

In einer Erklärung an Biofuels International sagte BA: "British Airways setzt sich voll und ganz für die Unterstützung der nachhaltigen Produktion alternativer Kraftstoffe in Großbritannien ein. Die Partnerschaft mit Solena Fuels ist jedoch beendet. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht, dass Solena trotz des Engagements von BA für das Projekt nicht in der Lage war, es bis zum Bau voranzutreiben.

Während die einen den Kursabfall als Möglichkeit zum Nachkauf sehen, steigen andere lieber aus. „

JAN 6, 2016 BA waste-to-jet fuel project fails to take off British Airways (BA) has announced that it has been forced to abandon plans to turn landfill waste into green jet fuel, partly due to lack of government support. The airliner and green fuels specialist Solena Fuels announced last year that it would move forward with long-standing plans to develop a state-of-the-art facility called GreenSky at an ex-oil refinery in Thurrock, Essex. The GreenSky project was due to open in 2017. BA planned to turn 575,000 tonnes of household waste into gas. Enough green fuel would have been produced to power all BA's yearly flights from London City airport twice over, with carbon savings equivalent to taking 150,000 cars off the road. In a statement given to Biofuels International, BA said: "British Airways is fully committed to supporting sustainable alternative fuels production in the UK. However, its partnership with Solena Fuels has ended. We're very disappointed that, despite BA's commitment to the project, Solena was unable to progress it through to construction. "BA is currently speaking to other companies to develop waste-derived bio-fuel projects. The Government needs to support innovative aviation biofuels projects such as this if they are to progress. We gave our full support to Solena Fuels for a number of years and were fully committed to making the GreenSky project a success. "Several factors contributed to its failure to progress the project including falling oil prices, lack of policy support for such projects in the UK and Solena Fuel's inability to progress the project to the satisfaction of investors." BA wants jet biofuels brought under the government's Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation, a move it believes could help trigger the building of a dozen green fuel plants by 2030. Chris Malins, the fuels programme manager of the International Council for Clean Transportation, told the Guardian that commercialising these projects was a challenging process, beset by a lack of EU policy certainty after 2020 and a "valley of death" between research and development tests and market-scale production.

US-headed Solena Fuels Corporation, a developer of high-temperature plasma gasification technology to produce sustainable fuels from low carbon-bearing organic waste has filed for bankruptcy. In February 2010, the company had announced it was partnering with UK national air carrier British Airways to build Europe's first sustainable aviation fuel plant in London using municipal solid waste. In November 2012, British Airways announced a longterm binding offtake and investment commitment to the GreenSky London project. Originally planned to be built at the Thames Enterprise Park, part of the site of the former Coryton oil refinery in Thurrock, Essex, the plant was to convert up to 600 000 tonnes per annum of municipal waste into Bio-SPK, Green FT Diesel, and Green FT Naphtha. and supply London City Airport (LCY). The plant was to use Solena’s Integrated Biomass-Gas to Liquid (IBGTL) technology solution – a Fischer-Tropsch (FT) platform coupled with Solena’s proprietary high-temperature plasma gasification technology to produce sustainable fuels from low carbon-bearing organic waste. A feature of the IBGTL process is the use of plasma torches enabling heterogeneous feedstock. The company had reputedly several projects in development including in India.

Die Technologie funktioniert doch schon. In einem kleinen Maßstab auf jeden Fall.

Choren Industries has built a plant in Germany that converts biomass to syngas and fuels using the Shell Fischer–Tropsch process structure. The company went bankrupt in 2011 due to impracticalities in the process.[31][32]
