I consulted for Sheldon Inwentash over 27 years ago after he started Pinetree Capital. Sheldon had invested in early stage mostly tech type companies at the time. It was a vision an idea (concept if you will) of the future for mapping the human DNA. I remember going to" VG" Bay street offices and lab at the time to see what this DNA sequencing machine was all about. I remember seeing the prototype of the DNA sequence machine thinkimg, wow what the heck is this ugly toaster oven with no windows going to do, to change the world? Well it was eventually acquired by Bayer for $1.5 Billion. I can also mention the invitation by Pierre Lasonde to invest in the late Claudette Lasaonde's company they had just started called Enghouse ENGH-TSX for seed capital. The first investors like Sheldon bought in around $0.50 or so. Enghouses market Cap today is $1.85 Billion. These are just two examples of success most are not aware of. Simply put, anyone would be lucky if they had just one of these home runs in a lifetime. Those investments are fact and just a few examples of the types of home run potentials IDK may potentialy hit.
