Uber to invest $2 billion in Japan over 5 years
Uber Technologies Inc. plans to invest more than $2 billion in the Japanese market over the next five years, CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in an exclusive interview with TV Tokyo and the Nihon Keizai Shimbun after visiting Japan.
The company will expand relationships with related companies and recruitment because it sees the slow pace of digitization in both its core business of mobility, such as food delivery and taxi dispatch, as an opportunity, Khosrowshahi added.

Der deutsche Maschinen- und Anlagenbau schrumpft 2025 das dritte Jahr in Folge. Man rechne unverändert mit einem Produktionsrückgang von fünf Prozent, erklärte der Präsident des Branchenverbands VDMA, Bertram Kawlath.
