ByteDance said to plan using Nvidia's AI hardware
TikTok's parent ByteDance Ltd. is planning to start using Nvidia Corporation's chips to strengthen its computing capacities in artificial intelligence (AI) research and development (R&D) outside China, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported.
Through Aolani, ByteDance will acquire about 500 Nvidia Blackwell computing systems in Malaysia, resulting in a total of approximately 36,000 B200 chips.

Meta said to push back AI model rollout
Meta Platforms Inc. has postponed the release of a new artificial intelligence model after internal testing raised concerns about its performance against rival systems, the New York Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The AI model, named Avocado, showed improvements over the company's earlier version but failed to match the latest offerings from competitors, such as Google, OpenAI and Anthropic in "reasoning, coding and writing," the newspaper said.
