Die Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ:PODD) hat am Mittwoch Quartalsergebnisse veröffentlicht, die die Erwartungen der Wall Street übertrafen.
Die Aktien des Herstellers schlauchloser Insulinpumpen legten nach der Veröffentlichung im vorbörslichen Handel um 9,23 % zu.
Das Unternehmen wies einen bereinigten Gewinn pro Aktie von 1,42 $ aus und übertraf damit den Analystenkonsens von 1,20 $ um 0,22 $. Der Umsatz erreichte 761,7 Millionen $ und lag damit über den Schätzungen von 729,9 Millionen $. Dies entspricht einem Anstieg von 33,9 % gegenüber dem Vorjahr bzw. 30,1 % währungsbereinigt.

Ametek to buy Indicor unit in $5B deal
American industrial equipment maker Ametek announced on Wednesday that it entered into a definitive agreement to buy a portfolio of instrumentation businesses of Indicor, an industrial solutions company, in an all‑cash transaction of around $5 billion.
Ametek plans to fund the acquisition through borrowings under its existing credit facility and new debt issuance. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including relevant regulatory approvals.
"In a single transaction, we are adding a high-quality group of businesses with differentiated technologies, complementary market positions, and attractive growth prospects. We see meaningful potential to create value through integration into AMETEK's operating model," Ametek CEO David Zapico noted.

WTI slumps 12% on Iran optimism
The prices of oil futures fell deeper into the red territory on Wednesday, with the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) slumping below the $90 threshold after reports that the US and Iran were nearing a deal to end the conflict.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in June nosedived 12.18%, going for $89.81 per barrel at 6:57 am ET, while Brent for July deliveries plummeted 10.48% to sell for $98.36 per barrel a minute later.

Uber Technologies Inc. announced on Wednesday that its revenue in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2026 observed an annual rise of 14% to reach $13.2 billion. The ride-hailing company also reported a 17% yearly rise in monthly active platform consumers. On the other hand, its net income plunged by 85% on an annual basis to $263 million. Its diluted earnings per share (EPS) sank by 85% year-on-year to $0.13.
