Die Hoffnung (meine) ist endluch die Ankündigung oder sogar der Shadow Release zum 40. Ubisoft Jubiläum Ende März.

Gibt derzeit auch keinen Grund m.M.n. warum die Aktie ausbrechen sollte.

Ubisoft hat Julien Bares zum General Manager für Creative House 3 und Creative House 5 ernannt; zuletzt war er Head of Development and Portfolio Support bei Tencent Games Global. Thomas Andrén wurde zum General Manager des Creative Network berufen; zuvor war er Chief Operating Officer bei Red Bee Media und war bei Ubisoft bei Massive Entertainment tätig. Julien Bares soll Creative House 3 mit Fokus auf hochintensive Live-Erlebnisse sowie Creative House 5 für Casual- und Mobile-Spiele führen. Thomas Andrén übernimmt zusätzlich interimistisch die Rolle des Managing Director bei Massive Entertainment, bis eine Nachfolge gefunden ist.

,In short, Tencent hasn't just been "buying shares"; they’ve been "buying insurance." They have essentially ensured that even if the Ubisoft ship sinks, they already own a very large piece of the best lifeboats.

Tencent also owns nearly 50% of Guillemot Brothers Ltd, the holding company owned by Ubisoft’s founders. This gives Tencent a "backdoor" influence over the family’s voting power. If Ubisoft were to face bankruptcy (Insolvency), Tencent would be the most likely "stalking horse bidder"—the preferred buyer who already has their foot in the door to sweep up the remaining 75% of the big IPs or the company as a whole.

In 2025, Ubisoft formed a new subsidiary (often referred to in industry reports as Vantage Studios). This move was a "carve-out" of their most profitable Intellectual Property (IP). The Setup: Ubisoft granted this subsidiary a worldwide, exclusive, irrevocable, and perpetual license to its top three franchises. Tencent’s Role: Tencent invested approximately €1.16 billion for a 25% stake in this specific subsidiary. The Result: Because this subsidiary is a separate legal entity from "Ubisoft Entertainment SA" (the parent company), its assets (the AC, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six licenses) are partially insulated. If the parent company goes insolvent, the subsidiary—and Tencent’s 25% interest in those specific IPs—remains a distinct asset that is much harder for creditors to dismantle or liquidate.
