Viel Geld ist schon geflossen: Da die Preise für Gas und Strom schneller als erwartet wieder gesunken sind, wird nur ein Teil des bereitgestellten Geldes benötigt. Zur Finanzierung der Gaspreisbremse einschließlich der Soforthilfe im vergangenen Dezember wurden nach Angaben des Finanzministeriums bis Ende August knapp 19 Milliarden Euro ausgegeben, für die Strompreisbremse 13,6 Milliarden Euro. Hinzu kommen die Beteiligungen des Bundes an Energieunternehmen wie Uniper.
