Editorial: Political failures hand Korean tungsten mine to Canadian firm
A tungsten mine in Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, which was closed 30 years ago due to competition from cheaper Chinese products, is set to resume operations next year.
As forecasts suggest that China’s tungsten reserves, which account for 80% of the global market, may soon be depleted, the Canadian firm that owns the Sangdong Mine has decided to restart mining.
The mine’s current economic value is estimated at around 60 trillion won. Despite being resource-poor, South Korea’s limited resources are predominantly in foreign hands.

Das wird ja schon langsam richtig aufregend hier. Obwohl der Jahreschart wirklich nicht schlecht aussieht. Ich frage mich: war der Velocity Verkauf mit LB abgestimmt? Ich denke ja. 6 Wochen sind ein Witz aber dann sollte der Chef seinen Kimono hochziehen und zeigen, dass er Eier hat. 😅

Wir sind jedenfalls auf der Zielgeraden. Nächste Woche beginnt der September und wir können täglich auf news hoffen. Wie schon gesagt, es könnte auch bis zum 15.10. dauern. Manche warten hier schon Jahre…..was sind da 6 Wochen 😉

Wir werden es Montag erfahren. Wenn die jedenfalls in den letzten Wochen nicht da gewesen wären, wäre der Handel fast zum Erliegen gekommen. Hier verkaufen Kleinanleger im Moment praktisch nichts, da alle auf news und höhere Kurse hoffen. Eine einzige Order über 100000 Aktien würde den Kurs mindestens 8 Cent nach oben treiben.

TME betritt den Markt mit einem „Process at a Margin“-Modell – bei dem das Unternehmen Wolfram kauft, um es zu FeW zu verarbeiten und an Kunden weltweit zu verkaufen – vielleicht kaufen die Wolfram bis 2026 von Almonty. Deshalb eventuell der Börsengang zu diesem Zeitpunkt.
