In other news, the Bank of Korea decided to keep its interest rates unchanged for the twelfth time.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite added 0.88% at 4:18 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite skyrocketed 1.91% a minute later. At 4:20 am CET, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng soared 1.57%, South Korea’s Kospi Composite was up 0.87% at the same time.
