MicroStrategy buys $108.8M worth of Bitcoin
MicroStrategy Incorporated, doing business as Strategy, purchased 1,229 Bitcoins, with the transaction worth $108.8 million, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing showed on Monday.
According to the filing, the average purchase price stood at $88,568, with Strategy currently holding a total of 672,497 Bitcoins and the aggregate purchase price amounting to $50.44 billion.
The business detailed that it bought the cryptocurrency with the proceeds from the sale of shares of MicroStrategy stock, which took place from December 22 to December 28.
