It is reported that #BYD’s new #European-market ETT44 electric heavy truck will launch in Europe next year, with the long-term goal of local manufacturing for vehicles sold in Europe.
• High-voltage platform: 851V high-voltage architecture; 4×2 lightweight tractor; Swedish safety-certified cab.
• Battery: 651 kWh Blade Battery (434 kWh optional); 10-year or 1.2 million km warranty.
• Power: dual motors, rated 743 hp, peak 1,000 hp (750 kW).
• Range: up to 600 km for the 651 kWh variant, or approx. 400 km for the 434 kWh variant at 40 t GCW.
• Charging: 1.5 MW high-power charging, 20–80% SOC in approx. 20 min; compatible with CCS2 public fast charging.
• Payload: integrated chassis, 11.12 t curb weight, approx. 500 kg higher payload than comparable models; optimized for European long-haul logistics.

BYD said semiconductors are one of its key capabilities. Its portfolio covers 13 major categories and 567 automotive-grade chips, from power semiconductors and analog ICs to logic ICs added this year. BYD Semiconductor has full-chain design and manufacturing capabilities covering chip design, wafer fabrication, and packaging and testing.
BYD will continue to pursue breakthroughs in semiconductor design and production. Its Xuanji A3 chip, launched this year, is China’s first automotive-grade 4nm intelligent driving chip and has entered volume production.

BYD Denza announced today that the Z9S launch event is set for Sep 23.
The Z9S sets a global record for the longest pure-electric range of a production car — 1,100 km CLTC — and features the second-gen Blade Battery and flash charging. It produces a combined maximum output of 1,210 PS and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.68s.

Reuters reported that #BYD Europe special adviser Alfredo Altavilla said the company will ultimately need three vehicle assembly plants and one battery plant in Europe to support long-term growth and comply with EU regulations.
BYD’s first European passenger car plant in Hungary is starting production, with a second manufacturing site to be decided by year-end. The company prefers acquiring and refurbishing existing facilities, with Spain and France as preferred options.
These remarks reflect long-term needs, not a finalized new project.

Das mit dem Niedergang wird wohl nichts. Ich denke, dass wir gerade am Wendepunkt sind. Der EON-Deal wird einiges bewegen und die sonstigen News wie USA-Reise und weitere Werke sind auch spannend.
