European Union officials on Tuesday called for a new and joint approach toward China, following French President Emmanuel Macron’s controversial comments on Taiwan earlier this month. However, this new strategy is unlikely to please the United States.
“I believe we can, and we must, carve out our own distinct European approach that also leaves space for us to cooperate with other partners, too,” Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission — the executive arm of the EU — said during a speech Tuesday.
She contended that the relationship with China “is too important for us not to define our own European strategy and principles.”

Tata beherrscht den E-Auto-Markt in Indien und hält dort einen Marktanteil von gut 90 Prozent. Insgesamt liegt die E-Quote bei gut drei Millionen Neufahrzeugen pro Jahr bei einem Prozent Anteil unter den Neuzulassungen. Indien will bis 2030 einen E-Anteil von 30 Prozent erreichen.
Tata Motors, die Muttergesellschaft von Jaguar Land Rover, hat zuletzt mit dem Curvv Concept und dem Avinya zwei neue Konzepte vorgestellt, die Ausblicke auf die E-Auto-Ambitionen des Unternehmens geben. Das Anfang April vorgestellte Curvv Concept, ein Crossover, basiert noch auf einer Verbrenner-Plattform und soll zunächst als Elektroauto, später auch als Verbrenner und als Hybrid angeboten werden.

Stimmt, zeigt halt wieder die Psychologie des Marktes. Heute sind auch die ganzen Quartalszahl Berichte, weshalb die Aufmerksamkeit vielleicht auch deshalb nicht so groß ist.
