Die UBS wollte die Credit Suisse (CS) offenbar erst für eine Milliarde Dollar übernehmen. Inzwischen soll sie das Angebot auf zwei Milliarden erhöht haben, so die unbestätigten Informationen der «Financial Times». Das Nachrichtenportal spekuliert zudem, dass der Bund eine Verstaatlichung der Credit Suisse prüfe, sollte es zu keiner Fusion kommen. Der Bundesrat hat für Sonntagabend kurzfristig eine «wichtige Medienkonferenz» angekündigt.
