California is 3 hours behind NYSE- so 9.30 am becomes 6.30 am. Nice to live in California your day is over at 2.30pm :)

I should correct part. Nasdaq can execute orders on limit that have been set on buying and selling under ECN- but actual trading is not permitted till 9.30 am- only existing limit orders that are in place can be traded before open. My shares are on Limit to sell at pre set prices- same as they are on buying ...

With news issued - it as to be news that as a direct impact on the share price- I would not be able to say what MRNA produced- but the NYSE NASDAQ operates on ECN's that are available to all listed traders to match buyers and sellers- the same apllies after hours. NASDAQ is open from 8 am - but imagine having to sit up in California :)

I saw something similar in real time in the past the chart is blown away, moderner had released something about the mutants, is was 1:30 German time... We will see...

Ruudi. It can issue news during trading hours as long as both exchanges are open- so that would mean Frankfurt and NYSE. Any material news that effects the Share price can be issued prior to open on the NYSE- but pre trading must be in operation which it would I would say from 8.15 am US Time upto open- it would be wise if they issued news in the USA on open-as many investors will not be able to actively sell shares or buy them until 3.30pm German time- if they hold them on the NASDAQ

Early Days- Not much pre trading in the USA yet, around 14,000 shares but up up @ $122.20. When Pfizer Biontech first produced data on the vaccine- they made a serious error. The CEO of Pfizer gave an interview to CNN the evening before- and while it was not broadcast till after the news release the next day- SEC have an ongoing investigation - which will come to a conclusion. Even though CNN did not broadcast the interview , which did actually contain all data - SEC see it as a violation- as the EU markets were open 6 plus hours in front of NYSE- and the news actually effected all shares in all sectorss.
