venox- If you look at Novovax study - it to me seems tuned to a few variants but in what I have read- it provides no data on C.37 in Mexico- and that trail . The CDC BARDA and FDA ,do not impose such stringent trial data requirements as the EMA now do The EMA Actually changed what they require from a trail in March 2021, to Authorize an EUA License – this could be why Curevac are confident on the vaccine- as they have done what no other vaccine trial as done or was required to do. They accepted Pfizer vaccine on the bases of the US study and as it was given authorisation in the UK- The EMA just followed the UK US- but then adopted new stringent requirements on trials. My own personal view on this is they realised the previous vaccines that were issued EUA was to flimsy See this section from Novovax its very selective if you read it and they do not mention C,37 and its based on only 54 cases sequenced "NVX-CoV2373 is being evaluated in two pivotal Phase 3 trials: a trial in the U.K. that demonstrated efficacy of 96.4% against the original virus strain, 86.3% against the B.1.1.7 (Alpha) variant and 89.7% overall; and the PREVENT-19 trial in the U.S. and Mexico that began in December 2020. @ Ännchen, Biontech ist seit 25.02.2021 in einer neune sehr umfassenden Studie. Diese läuft gerade. Darin geht es um die Wirksamkeit des Impfstoffes nach einer dritten Injektion mit Comirnaty (vorher: BNT162b2) und zwar gegen alles Mutationen die gerade Weltweit auftreten. Diese Studie läuft gerade noch und ich meine das Sie bis September laufen soll. Des weiteren versucht Biontech ein neues verkürztes Zulassungsmodell zu bekommen in der Sie keine Aufwändige Studie mehr machen müssen sondern analog wie man es heute von den Grippeimpfungen kennt. Die Biontechstudien (es sind noch einige mehr, Schwangere, Stillende und unter 12 Jährige und die Gefriergetrocknete Pulver Variante) laufen gerade und noch weiter (Menschen mit Autoimunerkrnakung). Daher gehe ich davon aus das Bionech absolut sicher jede Aktuelle Mutation auch kennt und einschätzen kann.

Gegen die erstmals in Großbritannien nachgewiesene Variante Alpha wurde der sogenannte Antikörpertiter nur um den Faktor 2,6 und gegen die erstmals in Südafrika identifizierte Variante Beta um den Faktor 4,9 abgeschwächt. Allerdings ist die Zahl der Antikörper zwar ein wichtiges Merkmal der Wirksamkeit eines Impfstoffs, jedoch nicht das einzige. Ein Augenmerk muss auch darauf gelegt werden, inwiefern das Immunsystem bereits infizierte Zellen angreift – dies lässt sich aber nicht unbedingt im Labor herausfinden

New reports out of Mexico show a surge in C.37- Lamda the UK classified it as a variants under investigation when they saw Curevac trial.. In Mexico the vaccine including Astra-Pfizer Sinopharm are not stopping transmission and the vaccines are not effective as they assumed E&OE

Disco Queen You are correct in what I have seen- GSK have 100% backed Curevac- Bayer have backed them- Celonic have backed them and Waker have – the UK TF as backed them with hard money and access to Genomic sequencing. E&OE

@ Ännchen Gemäß der letzten News wird z.Z. ja diesbezgl. über kürzere Impfabstände diskutiert. Aber auch hier gehen die Meinungen ziemlich auseinander.. (Ausreichende Verfügbarkeit spielt dabei große Rolle und wäre Voraussetzung.) Zudem prüfe BT wohl, ob eine dritte Dosis zur Auffrischung bestehender Impfungen bzw. zur eventuellen Anpassung an neuen Virusstamm erforderlich werden sollte...

Donald. My post is not fact- it’s an estimation based on shares traded over 7 trading days. Prior to June 16 – the institutional investors shares held was showing at 6.98% --------- June 22 the shares traded which the majority were triggered by people using stop losses meant the market dealing houses traded 12% of the total shares in issue – which to me meant the institutional funds cold hold around 12 % up from 6.98% . Since June 22nd 5% of the shares in issue have traded – so the total in the 7 days looks in my estimation 17% of the total shares in issue have traded since June 17 . Institution investors were showing at 6.98% prior to June 16 they could have been around 12% to14 % of shares in issue June 25 possibly upto 18% from 6.98%- but those figures are based on the last known figures – the next figures will be published next month I said the main holders could have reduced by 7% since June 16- but that is estimate- as it would be 100% incorrect to say they have not equally they could be the same . Its does not imply they have Main holders Hopp-GSK-KfW-Qatar Sov W fund were holding around 72-74% of the shares- It’s not possible to allocate Gates Foundation holding 1.68% to main holders- as they are listed as institutional funds once Curevac went from Private to Listed company.. Main holder could be around 65% now- but that is not a fact – the shares traded in volume do not mean the main holders have- but I am looking from an un-bias position – so they may not have decreased..by the way the share price held up since June 18th . I did note yesterday an order was placed in for 130,000 shares by major trading house. I presume it was activated and filled E&OE
