"This development reflected Deutsche Bank’s (NYSE:DB) strong operating performance including revenue growth, a 16% year-on-year increase in pretax profit before nonoperating costs, and continued growth in proposed or authorized distributions to shareholders," the company said. The bigger pot of money also reflects a reworked compensation framework that includes paying variable compensation to a "significant number of employees of lower seniority levels" and recognizes strong performance of the investment bank. The investment bank was awarded €1.18B of the total. Corporate functions were allotted €390M and the Private Bank received €314M. Long-term incentive compensation for Deutsche Bank's (NYSE:DB) management board, made up of its most-senior executives, was changed to reduce complexity, the company said. It was also reconfigured to use a three-year, forward-looking assessment period instead of using past performance as in previous years. As such, the long-term incentive for 2024 will be determined at the end of the performance period 2024-2026, it said. The company also reaffirmed its 2025 outlook for full-year net revenue at ~€32B, noninterest expenses and provision for credit losses to decline from 2024 levels, and post-tax return on tangible equity to exceed 10%. The CET1 ratio is expected to stay essentially flat with 2024. In addition, the bank expects to sustainably grow cash dividends, it said. Deutsche Bank (DB) stock slipped 0.8% in Thursday midday trading.
