Options traders could be betting on a bounce, though. On the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), and NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX), the stock's 50-day call/put volume ratio of 2.56 is in the 92nd percentile of its annual range. This indicates buyers have picked up Ford calls over puts at a faster-than-usual clip during the past 10 weeks. Likewise, the equity's Schaeffer's put/call open interest ratio (SOIR) comes in at 0.40, and ranks just 4 percentage points from a 12-month low. So, this not only tells us call open interest more than doubles put open interest among options expiring within three months, but it also shows such a call-skew is very unusual.
