On December 5th, the same day that @TheRoaringKitty tweeted and $GME spiked (and a lot else) at 13:45 EST, there was an 8-week treasury auction. This auction had extremely high bid volume. It was the highest volume since early August when there was the yen carry trade unwind. The volume was abnormal enough that Jeff Snyder (EuroDollar University) has already made two videos explaining how weird it was. (Link as a comment) GME tends to get volatility spikes when weird stuff happens in the treasury market as I have been pointing out for a while now. Instead of this being a response to the tweet, the auction happened just before the tweet. I know this is a completely alternate and conspiratorial theory to the GME volume, but it is raising my eyebrows a bit.
