Ist schon alles skurril hier: bei einer MarketCap um die 600 Mio., einem KUV von unter 0,1, einem positiven CashFlow in 2025 und einer zarten Hoffnung auf ein positives Gesamtergebnis unter dem Strich in 2026 ist es schon erstaunlich, dass die Wetten gegen den Kurs weiterhin so stabil hoch sind. Für mich tatsächlich nur mit dem massiven Vertrauensverlust zu begründen, der leider vom Management in den letzten Jahren gehegt und gepflegt wurde...

Agreed. Growth (Others where The Pets table is included) 43% YoY and margin improved significantly despite still negative. Maybe break even 2026 with a revenue of €200m. Compare this with Swedish Swedencare (ticker SECARE) where revenue is €220m with an mcap of €350m. That is more than half HFG mcap. This is can only mean that Others with The Pets table is valued zero or even negative by the market.

They also have debts to suppliers etc where parent company have issued a so called comfort letter. It is costly to exit UK so they try to save it instead. Regarding Italy and Spain, they generated a negative profit around €9m each. This will be visible as +€18m in the future. UK loss+debt is much larger.

Ansonsten gab es immerhin auch eine positive Neuigkeit von The Pets Table. Man kam vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr in die Regale von 201 Walmarts in den USA und ich hätte damit gerechnet, dass dieser Schritt deutlich zu früh kommt und man schnell wieder ausgelistet wird. Der Brand ist schon noch sehr jung und unbekannt. Gestern hat man allerdings bekanntgegeben, dass man von nun an in über 600 Stores von Walmart gelistet ist. Damit ist man in 600 von 4.600 Stores vertreten. Der Umsatz ist immer sehr schwer zu schätzen, dürfte aber alleine über diese Stores ein paar Millionen im Jahr ausmachen. Gefällt mir gut, dass man hier nicht nur auf D2C setzt, sondern auch weitere Verkaufskanäle aufbaut und sich insgesamt breiter und unabhängiger von D2C aufstellt. Bei Petsmart ist man ja auch schon in den Stores vertreten. Vermutlich ist man deswegen in letzter Zeit im Direktvertrieb etwas zurückhaltender. Die Listung bei Walmart dürfte einige Kapazitäten im Unternehmen binden. Die Entwicklung bei The Pets Table gefällt mir immer noch super.

The UK is a real mystery to me. In 2023 Hellofresh had some writedowns in the UK, but without these writedowns, they were running the business at a 1% net margin. Not too bad after years of losses. 2024 (-20m€) and 2025 (-38m€) saw increasing losses again. In 2024 the gross profit was down a point and administrative expenses were up almost 2.5 percentage points. Maybe they had to pay for some layoffs/restructurings? Maybe higher marketing expenses? The revenue in 2024 was down 5% in the UK, so not sure about that. In the past the former CFO also talked about an initial margin drag in international mealkits from continued fulfillment center ramp-up in Germany and the UK. I think these came at a cost of 20m per year.
