*** Once-weekly s.c. amycretin at doses up to 60 mg following dose escalation appeared safe and tolerable in people with overweight or obesity,1 with no new safety signals observed *** The estimated dose-dependent body weight reduction was 24.3% on an escalation regimen of up to 60mg in Part B, ranged up to 22.0% in Parts C–E, and occurred with no observed plateauing, suggesting a longer treatment duration may provide additional body weight reductions *** The amycretin clinical development programme will further assess the benefits of amycretin as a potential new therapeutic option for weight management and type 2 diabetes
