Oatly CEO says company is focusing on its asset-light production strategy by reducing complexity and capital expenditure in its supply chain. The decision to discontinue construction on the third production facility in each segment will incur non-cash impairment charges of up to $150m and restructuring costs of approximately $40m. While EBITDA in Asia improved in the third quarter, Oatly's revenues in Asia declined by 31% to $27.3m. Americas revenue also fell by 4% to $58.5m. However, strong revenue in EMEA offset these declines, with sales growing by 23% to $101.8m. Oatly remains confident about achieving profitable growth in 2024.
