COMPLETION OF A$50M EQUITY PLACEMENT TO GANFENG LITHIUM Australian lithium and tantalum producer Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) (“Pilbara Minerals” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that it has received A$50M from Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Co. Ltd (Ganfeng) under the previously announced Subscription Agreement (ASX announcement 2 January 2019). The A$50M equity placement is in lieu of a debt or pre-payment facility for Ganfeng to secure an additional 75,000tpa of spodumene concentrate under its Stage 2 offtake agreement (for a total of 150,000tpa under the Stage 2 offtake agreement). The equity subscription utilised part of Pilbara Minerals’ existing placement capacity under Listing Rule 7.1. The equity subscription comprised the issue of 77,663,871 ordinary fully paid shares at an issue price of $0.6438 per share (being the 5-day VWAP prior to the execution of the Subscription Agreement on 28 December 2018). Pilbara Minerals’ Managing Director and CEO, Ken Brinsden, said; “The successful completion of the $50M placement continues our strong relationship with Ganfeng, who is a key partner in the development and expansion of the Pilgangoora Project and investor in Pilbara Minerals. “It speaks volumes to the confidence our partners have in our ability to deliver a quality product and become an integral part of their rapidly growing and high-quality customer base,” he added. Funds received from the equity placement will be used for the Stage 2 development and expansion of the Pilgangoora Project as well as corporate costs and general working capital.

HIGHLIGHTS • Strong interest from existing and new customers prompts Stage 3 Scoping Study and engineering works to unlock additional production and available offtake. • Scoping Study for Stage 3 expansion delivers positive results including: ‐ Exceptional project economics, post-tax NPV10% of A$3.73B, life of mine (LOM), project revenue of A$16.6B (real excluding tantalite) and LOM Project EBITDA of A$10.3B (pre- tax, real), with underlying spodumene pricing developed from revised lithium chemicals’ forward price forecasts provided by Roskill for the purpose of the study; ‐ Substantial increase in processing capacity to 7.5Mtpa to deliver average annual production of approximately 1.2Mtpa of SC6.0 spodumene concentrate and approximately 1.1Mlbspa of 30% tantalite concentrate over a mine life of 15 years (based on existing Reserves); ‐ Competitive LOM operating costs of approximately US$291/tonne CIF (real, net of tantalite credits). • Proposed Stage 3 expansion supports Pilbara Minerals’ further participation in downstream lithium chemicals facilities, including: ‐ As a first priority, the enlarged 40kt LCE downstream joint venture proposed with POSCO. ‐ Potential participation in a second lithium chemical conversion facility currently under evaluation, with the scoping and location study identifying several Australian and international locations as economically viable.

CYCLONE VERONICA ALL CLEAR Der australische Lithium- und Tantal-Hersteller Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) („Pilbara Minerals“ oder „das Unternehmen“) freut sich, mitteilen zu können, dass der Pilgangoora-Betrieb im Norden von Pilbara aufgrund der jüngsten Aktivitäten keine wesentlichen Auswirkungen hatte tropischer Wirbelsturm Veronica. Das Personal von Pilbara Minerals und seine Vertragspartner waren alle sicher in den Lagereinrichtungen des Standorts untergebracht (die als Schutzhütte für Zyklone dienen), während der „Alarmstufe Rot“ der Auswirkungen des Zyklons, und das gesamte Personal ist sicher und abgerechnet. Im Anschluss an die am Montagmorgen (25. März 2019) vom Präsidium für Meteorologie (25. März 2019) für die Region Port Hedland ausgesprochene "alles klare" Warnung haben hochrangige Vertreter von Pilbara Minerals den Standort Pilgangoora bewertet und einen minimalen Schaden gemeldet. Die Bergbau- und Aufbereitungsvorgänge wurden jetzt wieder aufgenommen, wobei die Unterbrechung der standortbezogenen Produktionsaktivitäten durch den *** von ungefähr 72 Stunden minimiert wurde. Hohe Flussflüsse auf dem Turner-Fluss, die durch regionalen Niederschlag während des Zyklons entstehen, haben den Verkehr auf der Zufahrtsstraße Wodgina East in Pilgangoora beeinträchtigt. Es wird jedoch erwartet, dass dies in den kommenden Tagen nachlässt, wonach der Transportvorgang die Konzentratbewegung wieder aufnehmen wird. Die Hafenbehörde von Pilbara hat die Schiffsladeaktivitäten im Hafen von Port Hedland weiterhin ausgesetzt. Daher kann es in der kommenden Woche zu geringfügigen Verzögerungen beim Versandplan von Pilbara Minerals kommen. Die Gesellschaft wird den Markt über weitere wesentliche Entwicklungen auf dem Laufenden halten.
