2. Vertically integrating our mine into our North American Converters We recently announced that we plan to build our 2nd converter in North America. Keep in mind – we published our first studies on a Canadian converter already in 2020! Since then, we have developed Georgia Lake further and finalized the planning for the Guben plant in Germany, which allows us to capitalize on our learnings and move fast in Canada. During the International Automotive Fair (IAA) in Munich I also met with Hon. Minister Fedeli of Ontario, Canada to discuss concrete next steps. We are preparing for an integrated Lithium-supply model with a converter and a mine and a large strategic partner. At Georgia Lake things are progressing very well. After a successful winter drilling program, our engineers in Ontario undertook an extensive summer exploration program which consisted of prospecting and trenching as well as alternative methods using biochemical tests on tree bark to see where Lithium deposits may lie underground on our vast property. The team is most excited about the progress we made. We will follow up our summer activities with more drilling and publish the results once they are available. 3. Putting sustainability at the heart of what we do Please keep in mind – we are working heavily on building partnerships around recycling, zero waste (our ITEL German Lithium Institute) and reducing our carbon footprint. This is important for our customers, but above all, this is what we believe in. As an example: In early August, we signed a letter of intent (LoI) with LEAG, one of the largest German energy companies, stating that Rock Tech will receive carbon-neutral wind and photovoltaic power from them. The finalization of this LoI gets us closer to our goal of carbon neutral production. The LoI also covers a combined effort in sourcing talent. Rock Tech and LEAG are confident that this marks the beginning of a productive partnership between the two organizations, adding to our other existing partnerships with Papenburg, Schwenk and Knauff.
