Salesforce Inc. has announced an expanded partnership with Google to support the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), a new open standard designed for agentic, AI-driven commerce. Through this collaboration, Salesforce will enable Agentforce Commerce merchants to natively integrate with UCP, allowing for real-time connections between merchant backends and Google's AI-powered shopping experiences, such as AI Mode in Search and the Gemini app. This initiative aims to help retailers offer seamless product discovery and native checkout experiences across Google’s AI surfaces, meeting shoppers wherever they are and driving growth through intelligent, conversational commerce.
