Eine Studie des Vereins Finanzwende zeigt, dass zwei Drittel der untersuchten Riester- und Rürup-Rententarife über die Laufzeit nicht einmal 2% Rendite erzielen und inflationsbereinigt Verluste bringen; als Gründe nennt Finanzwende hohe Abschluss- und Verwaltungskosten sowie Sicherheitsmargen. Die Bundesregierung plant ein Altersvorsorgedepot ohne Garantien mit einem Kostendeckel von 1,5%, den Finanzwende als zu hoch kritisiert und einen Deckel von maximal 0,5% fordert.

Der Iran-Krieg dürfte nach Einschätzung des Deutschen Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung die Konjunktur hierzulande nur leicht belasten. Die Verbraucherpreise könnten jedoch deutlich anziehen, prognostiziert das DIW in Berlin.
Unter der Annahme, dass der stärkste Preisschub vorbei ist und die Öl- und Gaspreise dieses Jahr nur moderat steigen, dürften sie die Inflation um 0,4 Prozentpunkte erhöhen und das Wachstum um 0,1 bis 0,2 Prozentpunkte dämpfen. „Insgesamt wird die Erholung der deutschen Wirtschaft damit zwar gebremst, aber nicht gestoppt“, schreibt das DIW. The scale of the release is roughly equivalent to 20 days of oil flowing through Hormuz at about 20 million barrels a day, though some exports can still be rerouted through pipelines outside the strait.

Die Internationale Energieagentur (IEA) reagiert auf den Iran-Krieg mit der Freigabe strategischer Ölreserven. Die 32 Mitgliedsländer geben insgesamt 400 Millionen Barrel Rohöl frei, so die IEA.

SLB cuts first-quarter outlook on Middle East disruption
SLB announced on Wednesday that the escalating disruption in the Middle East had begun to weigh on its operations and would hurt first-quarter results, as the oilfield services company suspended travel across the region and started demobilizing activity in some countries.
The company declared that first-quarter revenue would come in below expectations and forecast an additional hit of about 6 to 9 cents per diluted share. SLB said local and regional crisis teams were meeting daily and that it was working with customers and authorities to monitor conditions, while preparing to resume fuller activity in phases once the environment stabilizes.
