Mantraartig wiederhole ich es! Das Unternehmen hat ein gutes Geschäftsmodell! Aber hat sich mit lakecastle schwere fesseln aufgebürdet und das Pech gehabt im Frühjahr 2022 mit den zinserhöhungen der Notenbank in schweres Fahrwasser zu kommen. Jetzt wird es nicht nur länger dauern bis sie da wieder rauskommen sondern auch weniger verdienen als noch vor über eineinhalb Jahren in der Selbstständigkeit!

Es gibt eine Firma namens Pagaya, die anscheinend genau das gleiche macht wie Upstart, hat ca. 50% mehr Umsatz mit einem Drittel der Bewertung. Womit wir bei den 13$ wären..

Hey, Lance. Let's see. So, I guess that 36% APR cap, with the current levels of UMI is a significant constraint on our business. In fact, I think, as we stand today, it's probably the bigger constraint on growth on our platform. It's very punitive, from the perspective of our approval rates, which are quite low right now.
How to think about this evolving going forward? Well, the 36% APR cap will not change. That's something that is sort of sacred to us. As UMI declines, sort of as Simon said in his question, as our observed -- the observation of UMI declines over time because presumably the macroeconomies coming back into equilibrium. We will accordingly reduce the forward assumptions being fed to the model, and that will essentially reflect lower loss estimates over time. And that will pull borrowers who were currently excluded from our credit box, they'll pull them back into the approval universe. So that's the mechanism by which we would expect to grow as loss rates in the economy subside and as UMI comes back down.

Das negative an den zahlen ist dass die richtige Erholung wohl noch ein paar Quartale auf sich warten lässt. Habe das komplette earnings call transcript gelesen. Ansonsten ist nichts auszusetzen an den Zahlen
