Angeblich wäre auch ein grösserer Fond bei HIVE rein ... als Partner wäre das auch gut für DT. Dazu Ethereum im Rausch ... müsste heute grün bleiben.

Financials The 12/31/2020 audited financials (available on sedar.com and linked above) of the Company are not very helpful from my perspective. Why, because the Company that came into being on or about January 1, 2021 (a DeFi company) is not the same company that existed before said date. Specifically, note 6 of the Company's audited financials provides context: On December 10, 2020, the Company closed the acquisition of 49% of DeFi Holdings Inc. (“DeFi Holdings”). Pursuant to the transaction, the Company issued a total of 20,000,000 common shares of the Company to the shareholders of DeFi Holding in proportion to their pro rata shareholdings of DeFi Holdings, in exchange for a 49% interest in DeFi Holdings. The 20,000,000 common shares are fair valued at a price of $0.13 per share, based on the trading price of the common shares issued, for a total value of $2,600,000. The Company assessed that it holds significant influence over DeFi Holdings and as such has accounted for this investment using equity accounting. Subsequent to December 31, 2020, the Company acquired the remaining 51% of Defi Holdings. (Emphasis added). The audited financials include legacy assets in the natural resources sector which I am guessing have since been sold (or are in the process of being sold). In any case, legacy Routemaster Capital, the former name of the Company, was seemingly the vehicle for the (reborn) Company to put into place the DeFi strategy. Thus, the audited financials are less valuable at this juncture since the Company's past history is no longer relevant. The bottom line being that the first quarter numbers, together with any guidance provided, will prove to be the baseline for future comparisons and expectations. A quick example of why I think the audited financials are not worth much: on December 31, 2020, the Company reported Total Assets of $7,296,044, but as I pointed out above, its current passive stake in HIVE is worth rough $12,500,000. We also know that the Company has a trading portfolio housed in its Bermuda subsidiary (value unknown at this time), but if we assume the $636,000 of digital assets showing up on the balance sheet at 12/31/2020 was used for the trading portfolio, then we can estimate that the trading portfolio is now worth roughly $4 to $5 million today (assuming a 7X return; as of the reporting date; as noted above, the portfolio reported gains of 755%). Pulling it Together With barriers to participating in DeFi relatively high, the Company aims to provide shareholders with diversified exposure to the emerging DeFi sector. The Company is building out its business across several verticals and there are signs, particularly in the structured products and trading divisions, that things are off to a solid start. Moreover, the DeFi Ventures division is making seed investments. The strategic relationships with HIVE and Pomp also offer credibility. I think the Company is a long-term buy with a lot of potential. That view has to be qualified since the Company's reported financials are now stale in light of the Company's rebirth as a DeFi company; as such I believe DeFi Technologies Inc. is a Speculative Buy. Do your own due diligence; there are lots of risks, many of which are outlined in a recent Company disclosure document.

DeFi Governance The Company describes this offering as follows: The best way to think of it [the Defi Governance product] is similar to a public company opting to install independent board members. The DeFi Governance product will work with decentralized networks to run independent nodes that will validate transactions and provide governance on the network. As the only public company dedicated to the DeFi space the company believes it is uniquely positioned to fulfill this emerging need in the marketplace." Source: Company website I am interested to learn more about this vertical and how the Company thinks it can monetize this offering. DeFi Ventures Through its venture capital arm, the Company seeks to invest in a number of early-stage DeFi projects. It recently announced that it has co-invested alongside Pomp Investments into SOVRYN, one of the initial implementations of decentralized finance technologies specifically designed for the Bitcoin network. In addition, in March 2021, the Company issued a press release highlighting its investment in Volmex Finance. Volmex Finance is a leading volatility index crypto platform and Volmex's products are intended to provide crypto traders with cost-effective tools to hedge against the volatility risks associated with the crypto market. DeFi Bermuda (Trading) The Company's DeFi Bermuda subsidiary recently reported that it had generated 755.47% returns since January 12th. Hopefully there will be more detail in the next earnings reports. As of 12/31/2020, the Company's balance sheet did include $636,000 of digital assets. I cannot say for sure whether that figure represents the trading portfolio, but I do assume that to be the case later on in this article. Other Investments/Partnerships In addition to the foregoing activities, the company has also entered into a strategic relationship with HIVE, including a share exchange, pursuant to which HIVE took a 6% ownership interest in the Company, and the Company received 4 million shares of Hive, which shares are currently valued at roughly $12.5 million.
