Notice of Unauthorized E-mail Address Access At WonderFi Technologies Inc. (“we”, “us”, the “Company”, or “WonderFi”), we value our users and respect the privacy of your information, which is why, as a precautionary measure, we are writing to let you know about a data security incident which occurred at one of our third-party services providers known as “Mailchimp”, a division of Intuit Inc., which may impact your e-mail address. Mailchimp, a marketing platform that we use to help us manage e-mail communications with our users, has recently told us that on August 8, 2022 it became aware of an unauthorized actor that conducted a social engineering attack on Mailchimp employees, and obtained access to Mailchimp using compromised Mailchimp employee credentials. Approximately 214 clients of Mailchimp were affected by the incident, including WonderFi. Further information with respect to the security incident at Mailchimp can be found on Mailchimp’s website here. As a result, while we understand WonderFi’s credentials and internal cyber security systems remain secure, including at our operating subsidiaries Bitbuy Technologies Inc. and Coinberry Limited, both of which were unaffected, an authorized actor may be aware of the e-mail address you provided to WonderFi which is receiving this communication – but, to our knowledge, no other details or other information you provided to us was impacted. Out of caution, we are recommending our users be diligent in monitoring for spam, phishing and other unwanted communications from unknown sources, including those purporting to come from WonderFi. To be certain, unless you receive an e-mail from an address which is “@wonder.fi”, it did not come from us directly. We also suggest you consider changing the e-mail address you previously provided to WonderFi to a new address, as an added precaution. WonderFi values your privacy and deeply regrets that this incident occurred. We are conducting a thorough review and will notify you if there are any significant developments. We are working with Mailchimp to make sure that their employees are trained (and are re-training ours) on phishing, social engineering and other similar scams, and implementing additional security measures designed to prevent a recurrence of such an event to protect the privacy of WonderFi’s valued users. ganz interessant, dass Bitpanda letztes Jahr auf einen Umsatz von 55 mio kam und in 2021 mit 4 Mrd. bewertet wurde. Fairer Weise muss man jedoch sagen, dass die da 12mio Gewinn gemacht haben. Heuer werden die natürlich auch nicht mehr auf 4 Mrd. kommen. Denke aber, man sollte bei WonderFi dabeibleiben. Ich hab mir mal paar ins Depot gelegt.
