Toronto, 29. Januar 2025 – Almonty Industries Inc. („ Almonty “ oder das „ Unternehmen “) ( TSX: AII / ASX: AII / OTCQX: ALMTF / Frankfurt: ALI ) gibt bekannt, dass es mit SeAH M&S („SeAH“), dem größten Verarbeiter von Molybdänprodukten in Südkorea und der zweitgrößten Molybdänoxidhütte der Welt, eine exklusive Abnahmevereinbarung („Vereinbarung“ oder „Abnahme“) geschlossen hat, gemäß der sich SeAH verpflichtet hat, während der gesamten Lebensdauer der Mine 100 % des aus Almontys Sangdong-Molybdänprojekt (das „Sangdong-Molybdänprojekt“) produzierten Materials zu kaufen.
Das Sangdong-Molybdän-Projekt, das von Almontys hundertprozentiger Tochtergesellschaft Almonty Korea Moly Corp. („AKMC“) entwickelt wird, verfügt bereits über alle Genehmigungen (Bergbau und Umwelt) und soll Ende 2026 mit der Produktion beginnen. Historischen Daten der koreanischen Regierung zufolge beträgt die erwartete Lebensdauer der Mine 60 Jahre. Bei voller Auslastung wird die Mine jährlich etwa 5.600 Tonnen Molybdän produzieren. SeAH baut in Temple, Texas, eine Metall- und Fertigungsanlage im Wert von 110 Millionen US-Dollar, die Space Exploration Technologies Corp. („ SpaceX “) sowie die US-Verteidigungs- und zivile Luft- und Raumfahrtbranche mit Metallprodukten versorgen soll.

Ich denke, die Zölle sind im Wesentlichen egal. Entscheidend sind die hohen Marktpreise und der Bedarf in Nordamerika und Europa. Mangels Alternativen werden diese Länder bei Almonty einkaufen müssen.

Ich bin mir nicht so ganz sicher, ob Almonty davon proftieren wird, das es eben kein US Unternehmen ist, das im Inland Minen betreibt. Das ist ja der Kern der ganzen Zoll Geschichte.
