U.S.-based AI server company Super Micro Computer’s (SMCI) stock led the S&P 500 (SPX) on Tuesday as investors seized buying opportunities in AI stocks following a sharp sell-off. Supermicro and other AI-related stocks closed higher, outperforming the broader market amid a volatile session. SMCI surged 10.7%, while chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA) rose 1.6%. Meanwhile, chip designer Broadcom (AVGO) gained 3%, and AI analytics firm Palantir (PLTR) climbed over 2%.
