February 4, 2025 – MDL Adds 14 New Cases The Roundup cancer MDL saw 14 new cases added over the last month, bringing the total number of pending cases to 4,414. This is somewhat surprising, given the increasing shift of Roundup litigation to state courts, where plaintiffs have seen significant successes in the last 18 months. Still, the relatively low number of new filings suggests that the MDL may be nearing its endgame, with most activity now concentrated in state court dockets.
Ich hatte mich vor einigen Wochen mit jemandem von Bayer unterhalten, und er ließ auch durchklingen, dass gerade versucht wird eine politische Lösung zu finden. Er sagte auch, und das war mir neu, dass da Private Equity im Spiel ist, die die Klageindustrie finanzieren und natürlich Rendite sehen wollen. Bayer hat also nicht nur die Klageindustrie gegen sich, sonder auch noch ein paar Finanzunternehmen. Da aber auch große US Investoren Anteilseigner bei Bayer sind kann mir durchaus vorstellen, dass man sich nicht gegenseitig schaden möchten und ein Deal kommt.
