In this case, pressure sensors in a shoe are converted into spike-based inputs, allowing a spiking neural network to learn gait patterns in real time using local STDP. No cloud, no continuous compute, and minimal energy draw. The result isn’t just efficiency. It’s a step toward adaptive, on-device intelligence that can learn directly from the body.
