(MT Newswires) -- BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) strebt einen Absatzsprung von 20% in diesem Jahr auf 3,6 Millionen Einheiten gegenüber seinem Rekordabsatz im Jahr 2023 an, berichtete Reuters am Mittwoch unter Berufung auf Quellen.
Der Vorstandsvorsitzende Wang Chuanfu hat am Mittwoch auf einem Investorentreffen angekündigt, dass er den Absatz in Übersee in diesem Jahr mehr als verdoppeln und 500.000 Einheiten erreichen will, mit einem Ziel von einer Million bis 2025.

BOCOMI Cuts BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) TP to $306.48; Results In Line
results were in line with street consensus, BOCOMI said in a report, which maintained Buy rating to reflect fast track of export and premiumization. The broker also slightly lowered profit forecast for 2024 and 2025 to reflect pressure on profit per vehicle.
However, the broker considered that BYD's vertical supply chain strength and pricing power will continue to lead peers, while exports and premiumization were expected to juice profits. The TP for the H-share was cut to $306.48 from $309.67.
BOCOMI estimated that BYD's profit per vehicle in 4Q23 was about RMB8,500, down about 23% YoY, under the influence of promotional price cuts. The broker forecast profit per car will be squeezed with the launch of a number of Honor models in 1Q24.
The broker predicted BYD's sales volume to grow 24.9% to 3.77 million units this year, and its market share may drift higher. In addition, the broker forecast BYD's export sales at 490,000 units this year, accounting for 13.3% of total sales.
